Bricks finally and more windows (week 9)

Today the 14 July we finally saw workers onsite. There have been odd jobs being done like internal plumbing but not much else.

Have been very frustrated as our site supervisor had said the roof  tiles will go on and then bricks will commence on the 30 June. Needless to say there are no roof tiles on and now they are doing bricks first.

Last weekend we went for a quick sneak on site to check the roof tiles and bricks are correct. We were all a bit shocked how much smaller how house is than we expected. We hope it is just a misconception as walls are no in etc.

Before work I went to make sure the brickies will be using off white mortar like we requested. I spoke to a friendly worker and asked about the brick  timeline. He said 4 days for ground floor bricks and then scaffolding and then 1 and half weeks for upper floor bricks.

The brick colour we chose was in the standard range called "Stone" and we upgraded to off white mortar as the natural mortar is green in colour.

noticed part of  the stormwater drain is in the front garden

bricks on side of the house by the study

This is the study in the front of the house. Window got put in today. Bricks look darker as they are wet.
